The Art of Christmas: New Mexico Style Opening Reception

¡Feliz Navidad, folks!

Public domain

With the holidays almost here, Christmas tree fanciers are partaking in bringing conifers home, fresh from the forest to decorate in honor of the season. With all that arboreal action, it's no wonder coming up with unique, arty and affordable tree ornaments can just add stress to an already harried time of year. Faith, imagination and determination all play a roll, so have no fear, tree huggers. Maybe you can take a cue from Burque's Duran Family; they've collected more than 430 handmade ornaments over the years! Beginning on Saturday, Dec. 2—with an opening reception from 5 to 7pm—and continuing until Sunday Jan. 2, 2018 the whole lot of them are on exhibit here in the Duke City, it's all part of the Art of Christmas: New Mexico Style.
