Work up your courage or down a few beers this Saturday, Feb. 24 at Duel Brewing and take the stage for the The Open Bra, a bi-monthly burlesque improv competition. Performers are assigned a song at the beginning of the evening, and then hit the stage to enchant the audience and judges Miss Behavin, Mayo Lua de Frenchie and Annie O'Roar. And hey, if you're too nervous to take a turn dancing, you still get to weigh in on runner-up and winner slots as a member of the kowtowing crowd. This free, 21+ doors at 8pm and the event begins at 9pm. Plan on staying late for a dance party afterwards. (Maggie Grimason)

Throw your name in the hat to win or just to watch as Albuquerque's finest compete for the victory! This is a bi-monthly, burly improv competition for all levels, genders, ages and styles.
Performers will receive their song at the event, during sign-up. They will then have a limited time to familiarize themselves with the song and be ready to put on a dazzling performance for the audience and local celebrity judges. Performers are encouraged to arrive with a couple of costume choices, while WE will provide the props, if applicable. After their performance, they can receive a short peer review from the judges, if desired. You'll also get to enjoy performances from your porducers and hosts, Miss Behavin and the Enchantress of New Mexico, Mayo Lua de Frenchie.
Judges will select the top four competitors and the audience will choose the winner and runner-up. There will be cash and sponsored prizes for the top two at each Open Bra. Every competition will have a new theme and will be a fun opportunity for performers to rely less choreography and more on audience engagement.
This is going to be a one-of-a-kind experience in Albuquerque burlesque! Exxxpect to join in for some audience participation games, have some tasty micro-brewed beer and a DJ dance party after the competition! This is a free event! 21+
