Local authorities are warning all citizens with previously-diagnosed prudery to avoid Old Town this weekend, as the sexually-charged energy produced by attendees at the Salsa Dancing and Aphrodisiacs workshop starting at 2pm are most likely taking hold of the loins of all in the vicinity, spilling waves of sensuality into the streets. This Sunday, Feb. 11, ABQ's lovers are convening on Casa Flamenca to eat aphrodisiacs and work their blood up with sexy salsa dancing. Ulp. Food and dancing have long gone together to get people “in the mood.” This February 11, a special event combines aphrodisiac delicacies with salsa dancing to help you prepare for an adventurous Valentine’s Day.

This event is for people who are interested in great dancing, or great romance, this workshop will lay the foundation, and help you get ready for the Albuquerque Latin Dance Festival’s February 14 celebration.
For singles and couples of all persuasions. Everyone is welcome. No previous dance experience is necessary.
Melanie Rubin and Santiago Candelaria present their second workshop teaching essential salsa dancing skills with a focus on excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills on-and-off the dance floor.
Rubin is a lover of salsa dancing, and author of “What Women Really Want from Men: A Step-by-Step Dating Manual.” Candelaria is a veteran salsa instructor who has trained numerous dance teachers in New Mexico.
Tickets, including beverages and aphrodisiac treats, are $35 for singles, $60 for couples online, and $40 for singles, $70 for couples at the door.
Since Casa Flamenca is a cozy studio in the style of performance clubs in southern Spain, space is limited and advance tickets are highly recommended.
