Front man Todd Tijerina is a singer, songwriter and guitarist specializing in a fierce brand of cutting-edge blues. Infused with funk, rock and jazz elements, his musical style is described as “powerful and expressive.” The Todd Tijerina Band was nominated for four New Mexico Music Awards in 2011 and won “Blues Song of the Year” for its original song, “Nothin’ Like the Blues.” Over the past two decades, the band has released several albums including 2000’s “The Lowdown,” 2006’s “Now” and “Meant to Be” in 2010. It has also shared the stage with well-known artists including Kansas, Canned Heat, Coco Montoya and The Fabulous Thunderbirds.
