Tea Baggin' the Earth
All you native New Mexicans know how fickle the weather can be this time of year. Sometimes it's spring, sometimes it's winter, sometimes the infamous winds of March come a bit early. An excellent toasty beverage for these tempermental days is a steamy mug of tea. But wait! Don't throw that tea in the trash! Did you know you can compost that loose leaf or bag? Learn more about making and using tea compost with Bernalillo County Master Composters Program at Compost Tea and Extracts Workshop this Saturday, Feb. 24. Call now to pre-register for your spot for free at Albuquerque Open Space Visitor Center from 1 to 4:30pm and brew up some yummy soil for your garden. Your flowers and veggies will thank you!
