Participants develop a kinesthetic vocabulary by exploring Somatic presence and tapping into intuition of the soul.
Move West presents a two workshop series with Soto. The workshop on Saturday May 12th will be in Santa Fe at Dance Space Santa Fe, 3208 Richards Lane and the workshop on Sunday May 13th will be in Taos at TaoSatva, #2 Upper Colonias Road, El Prado.
In this workshop participants develop their own kinesthetic vocabulary by exploring Somatic presence. Tapping into soul and intuition, this exploration inspires self-discovery, supports authentic expression, and celebrates creativity as both a personal and universal human act of empowerment. This work is cross-disciplinary and has direct applications for dancers, actors, circus artists, Nia enthusiasts, trainers in the somatic arts, body therapists, mindfulness trainers, and all other kinesthetically inclined persons. No previous experience necessary.
Soto’s 50 years of experience has led him to see movement as a vehicle to unlock the possibilities to creativity, awareness, presence, happiness, health and healing. Soto’s biggest influence in his work has been his 45 years of collaboration with Anna Halprin. As a master teacher, Soto currently shares his perspective worldwide.
The “early bird” cost of a single workshop is $100, and $175 for both. After April 20, a single workshop is $125 and $200 for both. For more information and to register: email@example.com or call 505-920-6235
