Flyer

Technically Speaking… features artworks comprised of traditional and contemporary approaches to 2D and 3D works of art created by the faculty and technical staff in the art department at Central New Mexico Community College. With a mix of oil and egg tempera paintings, ink on vellum, mixed media drawings, printmaking, ceramics, small metals work, and interactive sculpture, there will truly be a variety for the viewer to experience.

Photorealistic painting, “Becky”, by Luanne Redeye and the anatomical and botanical rendered drawings by Danielle Rae-Miller are just a few prime examples of the technical knowledge and skill that the instructors and staff at CNM offer to their students. However, the intent of this exhibition is not just to highlight the masterful technical abilities of CNM instructors and staff, but to shed light on the fact that when they are out of the classroom, the drive to sustain and develop their artistic practice is an essential aspect of being an artist, exhibiting works regionally, nationally, and internationally.

Technically Speaking… CNM Art Department Faculty and Staff Exhibition will be on view at 5G North Gallery, Factory on 5th, located at 1715 5th St NW, Albuquerque, NM 87102, from Thursday, April 5th through Sunday, April 15th.   The opening reception will be on Friday, April 6th from 6:00-8:00PM.
