See the work of accomplished artist, Lynnette Haozous, in this new exhibit for one night only.
The OT Circus is thrilled to present, for one night only:
"Arrows On Point" - The artwork of Lynnette Haozous
With music by:
Lynnette Haozous is Chiricahua Apache (of the San Carlos Apache Tribe), Dine’, and Taos Pueblo. Growing up on and around her three tribes’ reservations in Arizona and New Mexico has influenced Haozous’ art works.
Haozous is a multi-medium “artivist”, blending art and advocacy to bring attention to the current social conditions and injustices in Indian Country. Mediums include working with acrylics, water colors and spray paint, creating jewelry, screen-printing, writing poetry and acting on stage and film.
In 2012, Haozous was awarded the “2012 Nativo Lodge/SWAIA Artist In Residence” and in 2017, the “Nativo Lodge Artists Rooms Residency,” as well.
Haozous studied Studio Arts at CNM, and graduated from New Mexico Highlands University with a Bachelors degree in Social Work,in 2017.
Haozous also volunteered at OFFCenter Community Arts Project as an art teacher, volunteering with the outreach art program working with at risk youth through community art projects.
Haozous was recently a Teaching Artist at Working Classroom Inc.,in Albuquerque,NM, where she worked with NACA students to create a public art installation, while teaching students to create art with a message.
Haozous is currently an Artist in Residence, at a newly built artist residence in Costilla, NM, called Sunshine360 Artist Studios. She is currently creating three onsite murals for her residency.
