The Mesa Prieta Petroglyph Project offers public tours.

The Mesa Prieta Petroglyph Project is now offering Public Tours of the Wells Petroglyph Preserve Wednesday and Saturday mornings at 9:30 am.

The 181-acre Preserve is located midway between Santa Fe and Taos, New Mexico. Donated to the Archaeological Conservancy by the Project’s founder, Katherine Wells, it contains over 10,000 petroglyphs. Our docents lead visitors through an insightful two-hour tour representing Archaic, Ancestral Puebloan and Historic Period time periods.
