Asian Pacific Islander American Heritage Day

May is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month and in honor of generations who have contributed to the rich tapestry of our history, the National Museum of Nuclear Science and History is celebrating this Saturday, May 12. From 10am to 3pm, check out beautiful lion dancers, intense taiko drumming, plus try your hand at traditional art forms like origami, calligraphy and brush painting. Talin Market and Chopstix provide food samples. See the museum's website for a full list of performances and activities. The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History will host the 21st Annual Asian Pacific Islander American Heritage Day Saturday, May 12, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The festival celebrates the cultural traditions, ancestry, native languages, and unique experiences represented by ethnic groups from Asia and the Pacific. Lion dancers, Taiko drumming, calligraphy, and origami demonstrations and many more will fill the day. Museum visitors will be treated to a cultural experience through performances, presentations, exhibits, and activities, including food samples.
