Marisa Thompson will discuss abiotic factors involving tree health, like species selection, guidelines for proper planting, and post-planting maintenance like pruning, fertilization and irrigation. She will also talk about biotic stressors like pests and diseases which are often more likely to negatively affect plants that are already stressed.

Marisa is the New Mexico State University Extension Horticulture Specialist, a state-wide position based in Los Lunas.
