“I find myself seduced again into botanical imagery. I love the way the floral becomes abstracted in the confines of the loop as if through a lens magnifying, compressing and focusing it into view. While the obvious botanicals are reimagined within the confines of the circle, the more abstract ideas find a certain grace and acceptance within the same parameters. They are referencing nature in an alternate perspective: up-close cellular orientations, magnifying hairs on a stem or crystallization of an element.”
