This upcoming Congressional District 1 forum will address pressing U.S. domestic and foreign policies, including trade agreements, diplomatic efforts, immigration and refugee populations and intake, and security.

This event will be held at UNM Continuing Education Center’s Auditorium on May 21 at 6 – 8pm. Local international organizations: Global Ties ABQ, the World Affairs Council of Albuquerque, the New Mexico Trade Alliance and UNM’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) co-host the event.

Attending congressional candidates will express their positions on these issues and how they align with state policies. The forum will be moderated by Ambassador William Itoh, the President of the World Affairs Council of Albuquerque. Officials working on immigration and refugee issues from various European countries on an IVLP project will also be in attendance.

RSVP is not required and is free to attend. For more information on this event, please contact Adelle Lees at adelle@globaltiesabq.org or 505-888-1867.
