What kid didn't set up their stuffed animals and pretend they were at a zoo? Luckily for those kids, Wildlife West Nature Park is offering Junior Zookeeper Day Camp. From 9am to noon on Monday, June 11 through Friday, June 15 kids ages 8 to 12 learn zookeeping techniques, animal enrichment, and the biology of native plants and wildlife. This week-long camp allows children to be close to wildlife in a safe environment, namely Bob the bobcat and four gray foxes. This engaging event is $30 for families living in Santa Fe County and $70 for families outside of Santa Fe County. Sign up now for week-long Junior Zookeeper Day Camps. Certified teachers and experienced zookeepers will teach children, 8-12 years, about zoo keeping techniques, animal enrichment, and basic biology of native wildlife and plants. Children get to be close to wildlife in a safe environment while they learn about 20 species, including the newest arrivals – Bob the bobcat and 4 adorable, tree climbing grey foxes.
