World-famous and incredibly accomplished jazz experts play live.

“Patti Littlefield is the risk-taking vocalist who can rattle the glassware behind the bar or make a tear fall. Arlen Asher is the dean of New Mexico reedmen, who, with his arsenal of woodwinds, has a special way with a ballad. What do these two people have in common? 1. Neither plays out anywhere near as often as fans would like. 2. They love playing together.” (Mel Minter) Performing a rich blend of lively not so standard jazz standards with a generous hint of fervent blues, Asher and Littlefield return to Outpost with Jim Ahrend, piano; Paul Gonzales, trumpet; Rob “Milo” Jaramillo, bass; and John Bartlit, drums.

The featured soloist for over 20 years with the 18-time Grammy® Award-winning Count Basie Orchestra (and Albuquerque homeboy), tenor saxophonist Doug Lawrence and his Organ Trio, featuring longtime Lawrence colleague Dan "The Organ Wizard" Trudell on Hammond B3 and John Trentacosta on drums, will be, as they describe, “swinging you into bad health with foot stompin' blues, great American standards and straight ahead jazz that will have you dancing in your seats and grooving into the streets. Get ready for that tingly feeling cause "Dr Feelgood" (aka Doug Lawrence) is in the house! “
