Award-winning sculptor Jim Crane's 'Homage to Anne', a memorial to Anne Frank is celebrated. Runs through 8/15.
We are honored to have award-winning sculptor Jim Crane's 'Homage to Anne', a memorial to Anne Frank. The tallest of these two steel figures stands at 11 feet with a combined weight of over a quarter ton. Crane's inspiration came from the young Jewish girl who wrote a now-classic diary while hiding with her family from the Nazis in a warehouse owned by Dutch friends until they were found by the Germans. Anne died along with her mother and sister in the Bergen Belsen death camp, the result of starvation and disease. Also on view will be the original letters to the artist from Anne's father Otto Frank. Come see more of Crane's bronze and steel sculptures along with photographs, paintings, pottery and sculptures by our other gallery artists.
Please join us for a day of Art, Music and Refreshments.
Viewing of Jim Crane's sculptures June 15th - August 15th.
Exit 248 off I-25, North on E. Frontage Rd. 7 miles north of Bernalillo exit. Look for the big yellow sign and large horse gates.
