More events at Sierra Joint Office on Aging

Open to all makes and models so bring a vehicle to show off, benefitting the Senior Joint Office on Aging for their congregate and home delivered meal program. $25 registration fee for cars.

Please join us for the 2nd Annual End of Summer Car Show and Fundraiser to benefit the Senior Joint Office on Aging (SJOA) for their Congregate and Home Delivered meal program. The show is open to all makes and models so bring your Mustang, Corvette, 41 Ford, De Soto, Model A, Harley Davidson or any other vehicle you would like to show off. Registration fee is $25 per vehicle or SAVE $5 by registering before September 15, 2018.

 

Congregate meals are served at the Senior Center in T or C as well as at the Arrey Senior Center for those who cannot make it in to the city. Home delivered meals are delivered to those seniors who are unable to come to the meal sites. Drivers spent time with each of the clients to keep them apprised of the goings on in the community and provide them with a copy of the monthly newsletter. Come on out to the SJOA and show your support for a great cause.

 

In the 2016/2017 fiscal year, the Senior Center served 34,304 and delivered 31,780 hot meals. While government grants pay for part of the cost to provide those meals, it only covers about half. Your participation in the 2018 End of Summer Car Show and Fundraiser will help to feed even more seniors and others in the community.
