Land of Enchantment Fly-In
Stroll the aircraft flight line, talk with pilots, enter to win a free flight, enjoy a pancake breakfast, fajita lunch, kids' activities and so much more.
Intrigued with aviation, want to see airplanes up close? Come to the Double Eagle II Airport on August 25th for this 28th annual Fly-In and see aircraft gathering from all over the state.
Aviation related activities:
-- Airplanes on display: amateur (“homebuilt”), production light aircraft, light sport aircraft, helicopters, gliders, and antique aircraft
-- Stroll the aircraft flight line, talk with pilots
-- Vote for People's Choice aircraft, or for the kids - Kid's Choice aircraft
--Enter a drawing to win a flight in the aircraft featured on the event poster (weather permitting)
-- A fly-by by the "Chile Flight", a local formation flying team with amateur built aircraft
-- Seminars – WINGS “Backcountry Flying”, and see on video a low altitude tour of New Mexico with Jeff Gilkey, a local pilot who files a trike
-- Panel discussions – learn about Aviation Careers, and learn about Flying Clubs
Other activities:
-- For kids of all ages: enjoy Youth Aviator Activities - pull a rivet at the Builder's Corner, watch 3-D printing at work, and other hands-on activities
-- Exhibit hall with vendors of aviation-related products and services
-- Military vehicles and classic cars are expected
Free pancake breakfast and fajita lunch (donations fund the Chapter's youth activities & scholarships)
