1st Annual Madrid Film Festival
Wild, odd, creepy, funny and searingly heartbreaking original entries of high-quality productions filmed within 50 miles of Madrid with 2 distinctly curated nights of entertainment.
Impresario Joe West and author Andrew Wice will welcome audiences to the inaugural Madrid Film Festival, a Theater of Death Production, on both August 10 and August 11 at 7:30 pm. The quality and volume of submissions was so great that two distinct curated programs, two completely different nights of entertainment, were necessary to properly exhibit all the very best short films.
The spirit of this event is a celebration of local creativity, while also featuring high-quality productions recently filmed within fifty miles of Madrid. Wild, odd, creepy, funny, and searingly heartbreaking original entries will be enjoyed at the Engine House Theater of the Mine Shaft Tavern in Madrid. Refreshments, merchandise, and other festivities will augment this newest instant-classic cultural event of northern New Mexico.
A two-day pass to the festival is strongly encouraged, to see all of the selected films. Tickets are $15 for one night or $25 for both nights (and admission to the VIP section). Tickets may be purchased via the www.Theaterofdeath.org website or in person at the Mine Shaft Tavern.
