The Old West is stirring it up again at the Harvest and Fiber Festival this weekend. Experience New Mexico's yesteryear with live music, tractor games, food and camping at Wildlife West Nature Park. Shop for fresh local produce and handmade local art and watch fiber arts demonstrations with the whole family before venturing into the native wildlife zoo to see bears, cougars, foxes and wolves. The festival runs from 9am to 6pm this Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 1 and 2. All weekend activities, save the Chuckwagon Dinner Show, are included with park admission, $9 for adults, $5 for children and students. (Joshua Lee)

Experience an old west atmosphere with local artists, tractor games and fresh vegetables for sale. Fiber artists are on-hand for demos and as well as food, live music and camping.

Join the family-friendly Harvest & Fiber Festival and native wildlife zoo. Experience an old west atmosphere and rich history of the pinto bean farming, along with local artists, tractor games and fresh vegetables for sale. The Heart of NM Fiber Gathering will showcase fiber artists and demonstrations of yarn spinning, knitting, quilting and other fiber artists. Get a behind the scenes tours of Koshari, 500 pound black bear and eye to eye with 2 young cougars. See the 4 adorable tree climbing Grey foxes and the newest arrivals – 2 wolves along with 20 other species of native wildlife. Knights of Columbus volunteers serve up pinto beans, fresh sweet corn, and hamburgers and hot dogs.

Stay for the last Saturday night Cowboy Chuckwagon BBQ/Western Music Show of the season with the Watermelon Mountain Jug band at 6 – 9 p.m. held in covered all-weather amphitheater. Reservations required by 2 p.m. day of show. Free parking and dry camping.
