The B-52's • pop, rock, new wave
Knock a Little Louder, Sugar

Who would've thought after 40 years in the industry and over 20,000,000 albums sold, in an era of everyone trying to outdo each other, that the B-52s would still be immortalized as far-out innovators? These eccentric misfits began their journey after some drinks in 1976 in Athens, Ga. Named after the Southern slang for exaggerated bouffant hairdos, they broke the mold and paved the way for a slew of '80s new wave weirdos and far beyond, transcending generations. See why they are still icons of pop music when the doors open at 6:30pm and the show lights up the stage at 7:30pm as the Santa Fe Opera hosts the native Georgians on Monday, Sept. 10. All-ages can delight themselves in the vamp and camp for anywhere from $34 to $109. Just tell 'em we want the “Good Stuff.” (Mayo Lua de Frenchie)
