Fred Sturm has lived in Los Ranchos, NM for the past 35 years, and has made most of his living in his “day job” of piano technician, including taking care of the pianos at the University of New Mexico for over 30 years.  During that time he has performed on a regular basis, both locally and around the country and beyond, with a recent solo appearance on a series in Mexico City’s National Art Museum. He specializes in the piano music of Latin America, with a particular emphasis on Heitor Villa-Lobos and Federico Ibarra.
