Fort Building

The Floor is Lava

Survivalists, fairy enthusiasts, the young and young at heart can all get on board with this one: fort building. And no couch cushions required. Expert fort educators invade Bachechi Open Space on Sunday, Sept. 23 from 1 to 3pm. Get some practice building a variety of fort styles while at the workshop and learn why natural materials beat out household items as well as how to avoid a complete catastrophe when the ground suddenly turns to lava. Bring your own supplies, if a “Keep Out” sign is needed to keep the rest of Albuquerque out of the clubhouse. Secret handshake instructions not included. All ages are welcome at this free event.
