Bookworks will be on hand to sell you your favorite book from the episode. Wear your scariest   costume and participate in our costume contest. The South Broadway Cultural Center hosts a free public screening of “Villains and Monsters,” the newest episode of PBS’ “The Great American Read” on Wednesday, Oct. 17 from 5 to 7pm. The series examines America’s most beloved books. This episode concentrates, obviously, on scary/fantastical stuff (Frankenstein, The Handmaid’s Tale, The Stand, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, A Game of Thrones). Wear your scariest outfit and participate in a costume contest for prizes. Bookworks will be on hand, selling your favorite books from the episode. The SBCC is located at 1025 Broadway Blvd. SE.
