We will discuss a 60 year old conspiracy following the 1954 Brown v. Board of Education decision that inspired certain individuals to begin the process of dismantling our society. Today, the Koch brothers’ billionaires network, using techniques pioneered by Vladimir Lenin, have perpetrated a broad assault on important American democratic institutions. Their goal is to destroy majority rule and restructure the American government so that it spends money only on enforcement of rule of law (they create) and national security. Think about what that would mean – no social security, environmental protections, labor protections, and public education, for starters. Please join us for a discussion of Nancy MacLean’s book Democracy in Chains and Jane Mayer’s book Dark Money.
