Opening reception for (a good, almost disbelieving sigh), new works by Los Angeles-based artist A. Janacua.

The works in the exhibition (a good, almost disbelieving sigh), trace the lives of a set of discrete objects. Sitting idle in their comfort, these works carve diagrammatic use of the gallery while recalling its domestic function; a setting fit for an event, even if it be of no or little consequence. They shift our movements and negotiate the patterns of routine, catalyzing the need for compromise and resolution. A reminder, if anything, that our lives are vestiges of reconcilable differences.
