This exhibition pays homage to the paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures and words of John Connell, a seminal figure in the Santa Fe arts community from 1970 until his passing in 2009.


This exhibition pays homage to John Connell, who was a seminal figure in the Santa Fe arts community beginning in 1970 until his untimely passing in 2009.

John’s works included, painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture and writing, many of which were inspired by his Buddhist studies and practice and the many artists and writers he interacted with throughout his life. His work is included in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Albright Knox Gallery, the Amon Carter Museum, the Blanton Museum of Art, the New Mexico Museum of Art and many others.
