Doctors and experts offer presentations on topics such as diet and nutrition, bone health and fitness as well as a discussion about informing family and friends about a cancer diagnosis.
The Prostate Cancer Support Association of New Mexico is holding its seventh annual all-day conference on Saturday, November 10, at Sandia Prep High School in Albuquerque. The free event, will begin at 9 a.m. This year's theme is “Living and Thriving with Prostate Cancer.” Doctors and other experts will offer presentations on topics such as – Diet and Nutrition, Bone Health, Exercise and Fitness, and Being Alert for Potential Return of the Cancer. There also will be a panel discussion about informing family, friends, and co-workers about a cancer diagnosis. The American Cancer Society reported that about 1,000 New Mexico men were diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2017.
