A community outreach initiative aimed at pulling the entire community together to learn more about this crisis, the impact it has and the challenges with combatting this crisis.
The FBI Albuquerque Citizens Academy Alumni Association (FBIACAAA) is a community-based support organization, distinct and separate from the FBI, that holds the vision of supporting community outreach efforts as ambassadors and on behalf of the FBI through educational presentations, humanitarian assistance, community outreach, rapport-building events and sharing of information with our families and communities. Our service and support effort caries a emphasis on the mission, resources and limitations of the FBI and our Law Enforcement Community.
The opioid epidemic has been called the worst drug crisis in American history and even more complex given the uses both legal and illicit! With nearly 116 deaths a day due to Opioid overdoses, the need to continuously provide our community with information about this epidemic is constant and steadfast. In addition, New Mexico is one of the States most affected by this crisis.
The FBIACAAA is sponsoring a FREE event, “Community Crisis: Combating Opioid Addiction in New MexicO”, on October 20th, 2018 from 1:00PM-4:00PM at the KiMo Theatre in Downtown Albuquerque. A community outreach initiative aimed at pulling the entire community together to learn more about this crisis, the impact it has and the challenges with combatting this crisis. Working through our community with individuals, Law Enforcement, Industry Experts and representatives that provide services, support and resources, you won’t want to miss this critical update on combating this crisis.
