Immigrant and Refugee Resource Village of Albuquerque (IRRVA) and its flagship program New Mexico Women’s Global Pathways (nmwgp) provides integrated services to the most vulnerable local, refugee, immigrant and asylees.   We foster these goals through mentoring, education, leadership development and cultural awareness programs. IRRVA is a 100% volunteer driven grass roots non-profit with a 501 c (3) that bridges gaps in services, thereby empowering families as they create sustainable futures for themselves and their children. Our objective is for program participants to attain self-sufficiency, independence and leadership skills. IRRVA was co-founded by Lungile and Nkazi Sinandile.New Mexico Women's Global Pathways was founded by Nkazi Sinandile and established by refugee, immigrant and local women to serve at risk locals, refugees, immigrant and asylees who resettle in New Mexico. We are in collaboration with several organizations, and are committed to empower, motivate and support these families while promoting their social, economic and political empowerment. Our goal is to increase their sense of identity, self worth, and realization of their full potential through

Skills training in crafts such as beading, sewing, weaving, and other needlework arts;

Leadership development;

Support and celebration of the voices within them;

Capitalizing on their strengths, knowledge and skills;

Empowering them for leadership roles now and in the future;

Involve them in all aspects of decision making;

Promoting cultural understanding and tolerance among ethnic women and girls.

IRRVA/NMWGP seek to be more than just another agency. It seeks to e an oasis of positive social change and seek to reinforce the best of human values, which are peace, respect, love and tolerance. One of IRRVA/NMWGP's is to encourage its participants to be an oasis of positive change and seeks to reinforce the best of human values, which are peace, respect, love and tolerance.

On Sunday October 28th, 2018, between 4pm and 7pm, at the social hall of La Mesa Presbyterian Church. our Organization will hold its 11th annual International Village Feast. WE will present a -fun-filled evening celebration of African, Asian, Middle Eastern, Native, Latin America, Caribbean, cultures.  The 11th Annul Village Feast will feature international ensemble of musicians, drummers and dancers of all ages.  The feast will also allow participants to taste exotic cuisine of Africa, Middle East, Asia,  and Spanish speaking countries. Audience participation will be encouraged.

Through dances and music celebration, the community will get to see something of the human condition. Freed from the strictures of the refugee life, apartheid, poverty, strife and war, the children, youth and adults will celebrate their freedom, while bringing the awareness about the conditions of their loved ones who are still trapped in refugee camps or war torn zones.

Admission is a suggested donation of $20.00 adults;  Seniors and students $10.00; Children below 12yrs  $5.00. (tickets at the door).  There is a special request to those who can to bring new coats of all sizes, socks, shoes, gloves and scarves to be given to newly arrived families who will be at the event.
