Sick of the same old costumes from a bag at the Halloween megastores or the idea of cutting two holes in a sheet? Let's get inventive! Kids have the opportunity to make a one-of-a-kind creation at the DIY Costume Creation Workshop at ¡Explora! Play with cardboard and other recycled materials as well as attachment methods with 3D modeling, kinetic sculptures and even add lights, movement and sound, so they see you comin'. This workshop takes place on Thursday, Oct. 11 from 3:30 to 5:30pm, with other chances on Oct. 18 and 25. This culminates in a costume contest for the imaginative garbs on Oct. 31. The event is included with museum admission of $4 to $8. (Mayo Lua de Frenchie)
