Join us for the 5th Annual CESOSS Acequia Celebration & Fun Run. Donations from this run/walk will be used to support our CESOSS Cultivando Nuestro Futuro Leadership Institute.

The main purpose of this institute is to take a proactive role in the development of new generations of leaders in our communities. We support our emerging community leaders in developing an action plan aimed at addressing and understanding issues that impact New Mexican communities (e.g. water rights; land; health disparities; food justice; environmental justice; educational equity; etc.). We also integrate the importance of legislation and local policy development into our institute.

Come out and support a local cause that will benefit our small South Valley organization that aims to protect and preserve ways of life and local traditions in our community.

Event Logistics:

The 5k or 1k route will begin at 9:00 at Sanchez Farms (1180 Arenal Rd SW) and will take place along the Armijo acequia in the South Valley.

Immediately after the run, we honor the work and dedication of local acequier@s. There will also be danza, ceremony, and a raffle. Join us for this community event!
