Sean Wells artist

Free! Professional Hispanic Albuquerque artist shares her journey from unemployed mom to full-time artist in just 3 short years. Highly motivated by mounting debt and two babies, Sean used all of her experience and expertise to build a reputation and a business around her art. Sean loves to share her story with other artists and believes there are many universal lessons that can help fellow artists grow their career faster and avoid pitfalls. Sean wants to give access to all artists, especially those who might be coming from challenged backgrounds, to information and support to help achieve dignity and pride by using talents to sustain ourselves and our families financially.

As a 5th generation Spanish Colonial artist, Sean is a juried member of the Spanish Colonial Arts Society and shows at the prestigious annual Traditional Spanish Market. In addition, Sean's Day of the Dead themed art has appeared on internationally distributed beer labels (Cerveza de los Muertos), nationally distributed wine labels (La Catrina Vino) and lottery scratcher tickets for the New Mexico Lottery which received 1st Place in the nation for Best Scratcher Design. After leaping to full-time art in 2013, Sean had received "Best Visual Artist 2016" by the readers of Albuquerque the Magazine.

All attendees will receive a special gift from Sean and will be eligible for raffle prizes featuring her art and can sign up to receive her digital list of favorite resources.

Children welcome, but this presentation is designed for adults.
