A traveling, hands-on exhibit to raise awareness about the research program, which aims to speed up health research and medical breakthroughs.
On November 26 to 30, the National Alliance for Hispanic Health, the American Association on Health and Disability and the Albuquerque Public Library Foundation will host the National Institutes of Health’s All of Us Journey, a traveling, hands-on exhibit to raise awareness about the All of Us Research Program. All of Us aims to speed up health research and medical breakthroughs. To do so, All of Us is asking 1 million volunteers to share different types of health and lifestyle information – information like where you live, what you do, and your family health history.
Albuquerque is one stop on the All of Us Journey’s national tour. The NAHH, AAHD & The Albuquerque Public Library Foundation invite you to attend this event to learn more about the All of Us Research Program and how it could enable research to more precisely prevent and treat a variety of health conditions.
The NAHH, AAHD & The Albuquerque Public Library Foundation invite the Albuquerque community to visit the All of Us Journey and learn how you can help change the future of health.
Monday, November 26 to Friday, November 30
10am – 4pm
Civic Plaza Convention Center
401 2nd St NW
Albuquerque, NM 87102
Unlike a single research study focused on a specific disease or community, the All of Us Research Program will create a research resource to inform thousands of studies, covering a wide range of health conditions. This information could help researchers better understand health differences and improve health for generations to come.
ABOUT THE NATIONAL ALLIANCE FOR HISPANIC HEALTH
Our Mission: Best Health for All
We work to ensure that health incorporates the best of science, culture, and community. We achieve this by listening to the individual, investing in leading community based organizations, working with national partners, examining and improving the resources and systems available, and designing solutions to make health a part of each person’s life. We continually work to improve the quality of care and its availability to all.
Our goal is to close the gaps in three key areas:
research, services, and policy; scientific discovery and benefit for the individual; and, community services and medical practice.
ABOUT THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION ON HEALTH AND DISABILITY (AAHD)
The mission of AAHD is to advance health promotion and wellness initiatives for children and adults with disabilities. AAHD works to reduce health disparities between people with disabilities and the general population, and supports full community inclusion and accessibility. AAHD accomplishes its mission through advocacy, education, public awareness, and research efforts at the federal, state, and community levels.
