ABQ NoshFest is a yearly celebration of Jewish culture and food held at the Sandia Resort and sponsored by the Albuquerque Jewish Culture Center. This family-friendly event once again and joyfully occurs on Sunday, Jan. 13 from noon until 4pm. More than 20 local restaurants and chefs offer their take on the bestest soul food in the universe for the price of a few food tickets. In addition, there is a kids zone, a cakewalk (Yes!) and even a challah bake-off. The whole shmear is in support of programs at the JCC which range from homeless outreach to summer camp and scholarships. Admission is but $6.50 in advance and $8 at the door—but throw in about another 10 to 20 clams each to buy food tickets, or you're gonna look like a schlemiel.
