For the ninth year, the Southwest Chocolate and Coffee Fest descends upon Albuquerque, leaving a trail of brown delights in its wake. Even though the actual event takes place exclusively at the Manuel Lujan Building at Expo New Mexico on Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17, there are deliciously decadent events happening all week leading up to the fest. Brown out with local and regional coffee roaster, chocolatiers, bakers and vendors and take part in yoga, cupcake-making classes, tastings, enjoy live music, a kids' zone and so much more. And for the record, “so much more” includes cow milking demos, ya know, just to cover all bases. This all ages event runs from 10am to 6pm both days with ticket prices set at $10 in advance for ages 13 and older, $12 at the gate, $3 for ages 4 through 12 and free for chocolate lovers under 4.
