One of the premier jazz artists to bridge the worlds of jazz, classical, Americana and traditions from India and Africa plays live in support of his new work.

One of the premier jazz artists to bridge the worlds of jazz, classical, Americana, and traditions from India and Africa, guitarist, composer, arranger, lyricist, vocalist and songwriter, Joel Harrison, has become of the most respected artists of his generation. In 2003-2004, he recorded two CDs –Free Country and So Long Second Street– featuring Norah Jones, David Binney and others, which defied categorization and marked him as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary music. Harrison revisits the concept of those recordings with his latest release, Angel Band, featuring the timeless tunes by Bill Monroe, Bob Wills, Olabelle Reed, Johnny Cash, and more. He will be joined by Christian Howes, violin; Jon Cowherd, piano; Chris Tordini, bass; and Brian Blade, drums.
