Tabla maestro, Zakir Hussain’s brilliant performances have established him as a national treasure in his native India and as one of the world’s most esteemed and influential musicians. A Grammy-winning musician, he is one of the chief architects of the world music movement and is renowned for his genre-defying collaborations. For his 2019 tour with the Masters of Percussion ensemble, he will be joined by an all-star line up, including sitarist Niladri Kumar; jazz drummer Eric Harland; and the Drummers of Kerala–an expert ensemble of musicians from the Southwestern coast of India.
