An evening of high-level performance poetry with ten of the top stage poets in the Duke City in poetic competition.
Once again, Outpost, in partnership with ABQ Slam, is proud to present the 25th annual Grand Slam Poetry Championship — the biggest night of performance poetry in Albuquerque! Poetry Slam is the art of competitive spoken word, and since 1995, Albuquerque has been sending poets to represent at the National Poetry Slam and tournaments throughout the country. It will be an evening of high-level performance poetry with ten of the top stage poets in the Duke City in poetic competition. ABQ Slams celebrates its 25th year, and continues its tradition as the premiere spoken word troupe in the Southwest, if not the nation.
