Arlen Asher 90th Birthday Celebration

A long-standing New Mexico jazz luminary, woodwind maestro Arlen Asher, with the help of Outpost, celebrates his 90th birthday with a special concert featuring friends and fellow jazz luminaries. An award-winning producer and announcer for TV and radio, Asher has taught woodwind fundamentals and jazz improvisation to hundreds of students throughout the US since 1965 and is a longtime member of New Mexico’s Straight Up ensemble who’s Live Jazz in the Desert was a top selling jazz CD in New Mexico. Asher also hosts “The Jazz Experience” every Monday on KSFR, Santa Fe’s Public Radio station.
