The fabulous jazz quartet plays live to celebrate Jordan's 90th birthday.

Outpost celebrates the 90th Birthday of legendary jazz vocalist and NEA Jazz Master Sheila Jordan in concert with longtime collaborator, pianist Alan Pasqua. Influenced greatly by her mentor Charlie Parker, Jordan is known for her superb scat singing and ability to reach the emotional depths of a ballad and hers is an uncompromising and entirely non-derivative style. A widely versatile jazz and pop music pianist and composer, Grammy nominated Alan Pasqua has played with a who’s who of jazz luminaries, as well many pop stars Bob Dylan, Santana, Aretha Franklin, Elton John and more.

The Sheila Jordan Quartet will perform for the Santa Fe Music Collective on Friday May 17, 7:30pm.
