A conversation with facilitator, Devont’e Kurt Watson, a nationally acclaimed orator, on the history of African Americans in N.M.

Did you know that African Americans have been in New Mexico since the time of the Conquistadors?

Join us in this Interesting Conversation for Black History Month. Our facilitator this month is Devont’e Kurt Watson a nationally acclaimed orator. In 2012, Devont’e worked with the City of Philadelphia, New Orleans, and the United States Department of Justice to reduce the Black-on-Black violence epidemic and during the Democratic National Convention he was a featured panelist that identified community solutions towards strategic youth civic engagement.
