DETAILS: The Vagina Monologues is an award-winning play based on the V-Day Founder/playwright Eve Ensler's interviews with more than 200 women and non-binary individuals. This play is put on every year internationally as part of the V-Day movement to end violence against women. With humor and grace, this piece celebrates sexuality and strength. Through this play and the liberation of this one word, countless women throughout the world have taken control of their bodies and their lives. For more than sixteen years, The Vagina Monologues has given voice to experiences and feelings not previously exposed in public. Every year there is a theme, and this year the theme is Women in Prison, Detention Centers, and Formerly Incarcerated Women. Join our cast of 22 incredible people for an evening of healing, celebration, and, in this small way, working to end violence against women. Proceeds will go to Crossroads for Women, an organization dedicated to helping formerly incarcerate women lead safe and healthy lives.
