Less Shark Tank, More School of Fish
It's hard to say a business networking event sounds legitimately “cool,” but this one actually does. Ever have an idea for a business but no logistical plan or know-how to execute it? WESST Enterprise Center hosts the Techstars Start-Up Weekend. This is a 54-hour event, beginning Friday, Feb. 22 at 6pm and continuing through Sunday, Feb. 24 at 8pm, for business-minded folks to get together and pitch ideas, select the best ideas and then break off into groups to figure out how to best bring those ideas to fruition. No idea is dumb. No idea is boring. Bring it, pitch it, do it. Purchase different levels of tickets ranging from free and maxing out at $75. Well worth it to have the best entrepreneurs and tech-savvy pros in the biz working with you to achieve the dream. You must be 18 or older. (Mayo Lua de Frenchie)
