This exhibition pays homage to N.M.'s Latino community. Uncovering signifiers of hope, despair, family and state pride that demonstrates the social atmosphere observed today.

Photographer and creator of Duke City Diaries, Frank Blazquez will be exhibiting his work for “Barrios de Nuevo Mexico: Southwestern Stories of Vindication” at Secret Gallery located at 505 Central. Opening reception First Friday March 1st for ABQ Artwalk. Music from Alxxs Garza & DJ ANJO. Food and guest beverages provided by Dialogue Brewing and Taco Guy.

Exhibit Summary:

Barrios de Nuevo Mexico: Southwest Stories of Vindication pays homage to New Mexico's Latino community. Uncovering signifiers of hope, despair, family, and state pride that demonstrates the social atmosphere observed today. The portraiture highlights the interplay between New Mexico and the Rio Grande. A complex relationship between New Mexicans and our land.
