Physics and Astronomy Spring Lecture Demonstration Show
Students and faculty illustrate basic principles in mechanics, optics, electricity and magnetism with a giant Newton's cradle, beach balls, a human gyroscope, the Tesla coil and more.
The UNM Department of Physics and Astronomy will host a Demonstration Show in Regener Hall Auditorium (Room 103). High school teachers and students are especially invited to attend. UNM's Society of Physics Students and faculty will illustrate basic principles in mechanics, optics, electricity and magnetism with a giant Newton's Cradle, beach balls, a Human Gyroscope, Rocket Car, Optical Fibers, Laser Interference, the Tesla Coil, and a suspenseful implosion.
