An evening-length show comprised of three dance-theater solos exploring themes of monster-hood

Performances by Emmaly Wiederholt, Lorien House and Patricia Chen

Emmaly Wiederholt’s Pick Me (Apart) is a multi-media dance-theater solo examining that pesky little phenomenon where you really, really want something and yet your inner monster sabotages your goal.

Lorien House's A Short History of Unfortunate Animals – excerpted from a longer work to be presented in the Capital Fringe Festival in Washington D.C. this coming summer – follows the Extinct, the Endangered, the Feral, and the Domestic, human and non, as they present four monstrous little dances.

Patricia Chen’s Vers Toi is a reaction to the disappearance of a loved one and the different lingeringly (but friendly) monstrous presences that follow. Resulting from a process of long-distance transmission, improvisation and re-transcription in collaboration with American choreographer Gina Buntz, this solo delineates a gestural story of time and space, displacement and memory, perception and dreams.
