A weekend of exquisite Navajo rugs and jewelry, available for sale with weaving demos, history, symbolism and artistry of the rugs.
Learn about the history of American Indian trading and the living artistic legacy of Hubbell Trading Post National Historic Site, the oldest continuously operating trading post in the American Southwest, at this special event at Petroglyph National Monument.
The show will feature exquisite Navajo rugs and jewelry, available for sale in a variety of designs and prices. There will also be weaving demonstrations throughout the day and special talks at 10 AM and 2 PM each day. Hubbell Trading Post Trader Edison Eskeets will describe the history, symbolism, and artistry of the rugs. Eskeets will also discuss how the rugs are created and how to choose and care for them.
Anyone with an interest in American Indian arts and crafts should not miss this opportunity to explore nature, history, and art all in one weekend.
