Rob Spiegel will conduct the workshop "Finding Online Work" after the Saturday meeting. While the magazine and newspaper markets are shrinking, the online writing market continues to expand. The opportunities are endless, especially since it no longer matters where you live. You can write about almost anything and get paid for it online. This class will teach students how to find writing opportunities that match their skills and knowledge, whether it’s gardening talent or sales know-how. We will explore online markets during class, with a particular focus on markets that are seeking new writers.
Instructor’s Bio: Rob Spiegel has been writing for 40 years. He makes his living as a journalist, serving as senior editor for Design News, an international trade magazine.
