Iconic Talk

Have you ever woken up in Petroglyph National Monument, looked around and thought to yourself, “There are a lot of things I don’t understand in this world and these symbols on the rocks have got to be counted among them?” Then join Diana Molina for her talk on Icons and Symbols of the Borderlands at the Placitas Community Library (453 State Highway 165, Placitas) this Saturday, April 13 from 2pm to 4pm. Molina goes beyond the symbols into the deeper meaning of common Southwest iconography including the Virgin of Guadalupe, Pancho Villa and in Mimbres rock art. This event is free and open to the public. For more information call the library at 867-3355.
